Ora Verla Martin, 97, of Longview died Dec. 24, 2005.

She was born April 25, 1908, in Gove City, Kan. to William B. and Jenney 
(Blackwell) Ely.  Mrs. Martin was a homemaker.  She married Brown Martin on 
July 2, 1927, in Caldwell, Idaho.  They moved to the local area in 1986.  Mr. 
Martin preceded his wife in death in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Wilton "Bill" Martin; two daughters, Dorothy "Dot" 
Schmidt and Verla Sousa; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Steele Chapel at Longview 
Memorial Park & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons, P.O. Box 624, Longview, WA 
98632  or the First Church of God, 2335  46th Ave. Longview, WA 98632
