Jodi was born on September 26, 1963 in Chehalis, Washington to Joseph and 
Ouldene Barnes of Toledo, WA and passed away on February 5, 2006 in Santa 
Maria, CA.

 Jodi lived her early years in Washington State and later in Germany. Jodi 
moved to Santa Maria, CA with her step-father and mother Erv and Ouldene Madden 
and graduated from Reghetti High School in 1982. Aside from being a loving 
mother and daughter, she was a true friend to all who knew her. Jodi loved life 
and had a passion for skydiving and crafts and held a special place in her 
heart for abandoned animals. Jodi blessed all those she touched in her short 
life with her giving and caring ways and left us with a loving smile for 
everyone. 

She is survived by her daughter Jolene Kay Kesler of Santa Maria, CA, son 
Jarrett F. Martin of Toledo, WA, father and step mother Joe and Margaret Barnes 
of Toledo, WA, sister Wanda Mills and her husband David of Beaufort, SC, 
brother Eric Barnes and his wife Wande of Beaufort, SC, step-sisters Joey 
Horning of Cobleskill, NY, Judith A. Reed of Clarksville, TN, Kathy Nelson of 
Toledo, WA, and Krystal Carter and her husband Ron of Toledo, WA and step-
brothers Jeffrey Madden of Arroyo Grande, CA and Brian Grizzle of Toledo, WA. 

Jodi was preceded in death by her brother Timothy Barnes.

 Private burial will be at Kalama Cemetery, Kalama, WA. In lieu of flowers 
donations may be made to the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, 751 S. Black 
Road, Santa Maria, CA 93454. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.
