Marlene Uvett Martin, 51, passed away in Longview, Washington on April 7, 2006.

 Marlene was born January 23, 1955 in Richwood, West Virginia to Homer H. 
Martin and Madelene Ruth Lipps. She lived in Longview, WA, Portland, OR and 
Beaverton, OR, and graduated from Kessler Elementary, Monticello Middle School 
and RA Long High School. She married Michael Hogg in 1973 in Longview, WA. They 
later divorced in 1983. Marlene worked as a dispensing optician at Hallmark 
Optical at Lloyd Center in Portland, OR and also as an aerobics instructor in 
the Longview and Kelso area. 

Marlene is survived by sisters, Glenna W. Linder of Carrolton, TX, Beuanna G. 
Goodrich of Crooked River Ranch, OR, Patricia V. Brazell of Commerce, TX, and 
Karen Y. McTwiggan of Longview, WA; brothers, Larry D. Martin of Kelso, Jerry 
L. Martin of Longview, and Gary E. Martin of Honolulu, Hawaii. 

She was preceded in death by both parents and her eldest brother, Homer H. 
Martin, Jr. 

A private service for friends and family will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 
4:00 p.m. at the family residence in Longview, WA. 

Monetary contributions should be made to the Multiple Sclerosis National 
Society, Greater Washington Chapter, 192 Nickerson Suite 100, Seattle, WA 
98109.
