Robert Wilson Marvin, 83, of Woodland died May 31, 2006. 

He was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Anaheim, Calif., to Robert and Nanny (Downey) 
Marvin. He graduated from Anaheim High School in 1941, attended Fullerton 
Junior College and received his bachelor's degree from Whittier College. 

Mr. Marvin served in the Navy as a physical trainer for three years. He was a 
teacher and coach at Buena Park High School in Fullerton, Calif. He moved to 
Woodland in 2004. 

He married Dorothy Miller on Dec. 19, 1954. She survives him. Also surviving 
are two sons, Charles Marvin and Edwin Marvin; eight grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at La Center Evangelical Free 
Church. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. 
Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.
