Joseph Patrick McCubbins, age 18, of Highland, IL., died Monday, February 20, 
2006, at his residence in Highland, IL after a long illness. 

He was a member of Family Bible Church - Highland. He was also the Manager and 
Waterboy of Highland Bulldog Football Team, and an Honorary Highland High 
School Letterman, and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Joey was 
born in Omaha, NE and grew up there. In 1999 he moved to San Antonio, TX and 
moved to Highland in 2003. He was currently a Junior at Highland High School. 
Joey was a sports "feen" . He loved to play electronic games, especially NFL 
Football, and watched Professional Wrestling. Joey always rooted for 
the "Underdog" and his favorite movie was Free Willy. Survivors include Father-
Thomas A. McCubbins, Retired USN of Highland, Ill., Mother-Mary Alice 
McCubbins, nee Lehning Lt. Col. USAF of Highland, Ill., Paternal Grandparents -
Robert (Patryce, nee Ames) McCubbins, Retired Maj. US Army of Atlanta, Ga., 
Maternal Grandparents-Bill (Nancy, nee Dittmer) Lehning of Kelso, Wash., 
Brother-Gregory T. (Jennifer) McCubbins of Moss Point, Miss., Brother-Daniel T. 
(Jennifer) McCubbins of Freemont, Calif., Sister-Jillian J. McCubbins of 
Pacifica, Calif., Brother-Luke R. McCubbins of San Francisco, Calif., Brother-
David T. McCubbins of Highland, Ill., Sister-Brittney A. McCubbins of Highland, 
Ill., Brother-Albert W. McCubbins of Highland, Ill., Sister -Amanda R. 
McCubbins of Highland, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joey P. 
McCubbins Memorial at FCB Bank for a Handicap Viewing and Seating Platform at 
Highland High School for Sporting Events.
