Moor "Andy", 83, a longtime resident of Longview, WA died at his home Monday morning, February 20, 2006. He was born February 7, 1923, near Mineral Springs, ND, eldest son of Alfred and Lily (Beck) Moor. He was reared on the family farm northeast of Bowman, ND. Andy met his future wife Inez M Chadwick at the Mission in Bowman, ND. They were married February 8, 1943 and just celebrated 63 years of marriage. After a few years of farming on the family farm, they sold their farm and spent the next seven years as missionaries throughout the United States. They permanently came to Longview in 1952 where Andy was a millwright with Weyerhaeuser for 31 years. Since retirement, Andy spent the majority of his time going to church, studying the Bible, singing and playing the guitar and joyfully helping all of his family and friends anytime they were in need. Children everywhere naturally were attracted to him. He always left a memorable impression and never met a person he did not like. He received everyone with open arms. His strong and consistent faith in God throughout his life was an inspiration. Every church he attended could count on his loud "Amen" and enthusiastic singing during the services. And he did not want to pass up an opportunity to share Jesus with those he met. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Florence Trhlik, Eleanora Narum and Pearl Olson, and a son-in-law, Vernon T. Reynolds. Survivors include his wife, Inez; daughter, Sharon K. Reynolds of Kelso, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Donald D. and Gwen A. Moor of Rochester, WA and son Duaine L. Moor of Longview, WA; daughter-in-law Sue Goran of Longview, WA; four sisters: Rosella Knudson of Battleground, WA, Lillian Brooks of Bowman, ND and brother, David Moor of Woodland, WA; nine grandchildren: Deanna Anderson, Denise VanRiper, Dawn West, Dean Reynolds, Scott Moor, Christine Pennington, Jeff Dills, Heather Larson, Amey Sue Coleman, and twenty-five great grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica and Jaden Anderson; Kayla, Justin and Morgan VanRiper; BJ, Britni and Blake West; Joshua, Zachary and Cheyenne Reynolds; Meghan and Robert Andrew Moor; Madison and Rachel Pennington; Jacob and Jeremiah Dills; Audrey, Isebella, Gracen, Toby and Natalya Larson; Bradley and Caylee Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews.
