John Miller Orth, 82, of Cathlamet died Dec. 24, 2005.

He was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Cathlamet to Emil and Janet (Ingram) Orth. He 
graduated from Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet and Pacific University in 
Forest Grove, Ore, in 1950.  Mr.Orth served in the Army during World War II in 
the South Pacific.  He was an insurance agent.

He was preceded in death by his wife. Ione (Irving) Orth, in 2001.

Surviving him are a sister, Margaret Orth, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan 14, at Greenwood 
Cemetery in Cathlamet.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cemetery District 
No. 1, P.O. Box 122, Cathlamet, WA 98612 or the Community Home Health & 
Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632

Arrangements are by Dowling Funeral Home.
