He was born June 25, 1935, in Nampa to Gus and Lydia (Strohmeir) Peppley. Mr. Peppley served in the Army and taught and coached for many years, including at Kalama High School in 1963 and 1964 and from 1968 to 1974. He retired from teaching in 1999. He married Louise Kellogg on June 15, 1963, in Kalama. She survives him. Also surviving are five children, Pete Peppley, Joe Peppley, Tony Peppley, Matt Peppley and Heidi Spunich; and six grandchildren. A memorial service was held March 11 in Nampa. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Academy Scholarship Fund, 942 Lancaster Drive N.E., Salem, OR 97301. Arrangements are by Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
