M. Janet Porter, 78, of Longview died May 29, 2006. 

She was born July 6, 1927, in Kasota, Minn., to Christen and Isabelle (Miles) 
Overby and graduated from Toledo High School in Oregon. 

Mrs. Porter lived in Waldport, Ore., for 30 years before moving to the local 
area 25 years ago. 

She is survived by three daughters, Sandy Southern, Sharon Ruff and Sue 
Mathers; a half-brother, David Timmie; a sister, Jean Williams; eight 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

No service is scheduled at this time. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. 
Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632 or a charity of choice.
