Donna Lynn Portner, 45, of Longview died October 18, 2005 at Hospice Care  
Center. 

She was born to Frank Dodd Sr. and Phyllis (Saltsgiver) Shivers on June 8, 1960 
in Wenatchee, Washington. She graduated from Redmond High School in 1978. She 
lived in Longview for 26 years, coming from Seattle, Washington. She married 
Gerald "Jerry" Portner on April 16, 1981. They were married 25 years. Mrs. 
Portner owned and operated Kona Precision Hearing and also was a partner in 
Ostrander Rock and Construction. Mrs. Portner enjoyed going to church, helping 
others, especially the elderly and homeless and helping the Salvation Army. She 
participated in the Relay for Life. She loved the beach and loved to travel. 

She is survived by her husband, Gerry Portner; sons, Cory Portner, Gerry 
Portner, Jr., Christopher Portner and Anthony Portner; mother, Phyllis Shivers, 
brothers, Frank Dodd, Jr., Larry Dodd, Billy Dodd and Tom Shivers; sisters, 
Patty Long, Virginia Eckert and Kathy Dollarhyde; step-brothers, Jimmy McCosh, 
Steven McCosh, John McCosh and Robert McCosh; step-sisters, Toni Casady, Ruby 
Stigall, Teresa Taylor and Sandy White; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Portner, Ryan 
Portner, and Lani Portner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in 
death by her father, Frank Dodd, Sr. and step-sister, Missy Dodd.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2005 at 
Northlake Baptist Church. Dr. Jim Conrod will officiate. 

Internment will be at Longview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be 
made to Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, Washington 
98632. 

Arrangements by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Crematory.
