Thana Geraldine Powell, 76, of Rainier died Jan. 4, 2006.

She was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Theodosia, MO to Dallas and Rudy (Herd) Turley.  
She moved to Oregon in 1944 and graduated from Rainier High School in 1947.  
Mrs. Powell was a dental assistant for Dr. Esley Davis in North Portland for 
several years.  She lived in Gladstone, Ore. before returning to Rainier in 
June.

She is survived by three brothers, Hansel Turley, Hestel Truley and Lyle 
Turley; a sister, Mona Gorsline; her mother; and a grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Steele Chapel at 
Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.  Memorial contributions may be make to the 
Comminity Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632
