John James Richie Sr., 87, of Longview died June 15, 2006. 

He was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Rochester, N.Y., to John and Helen (Lipinski) 
Richie and graduated from high school there. He moved to Longview in 1944. 

Mr. Richie served in the Army during World War II in Africa, Italy and the 
European Theater. He was a salesman for an electrical company. 

He married Emaline "Peggy" Richie Jan. 21, 1943. She preceded him in death May 
10, 1990. 

Mr. Richie is survived by a son, John Richie Jr.; three grandchildren; three 
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Monticello Park.

2067, Longview, WA 98632. 

Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
