Robert Cecil Rohwedder, 79, of Longview, died March 30, 2006.  He was born 
April 15, 1926 in Valentine, Nebraska, to Alexander and Erma (Benedict) 
Rohwedder.  He lived in the Longview-Kelso area for 78 years, getting his GED 
and then an associate's degree from Lower Columbia College.  He was a Seabee in 
the Navy from 1944-46 and was a superintendent at Reynolds Metals Aluminium Co. 
Retiring in 1986.  

He married Verna Roe on April 20, 1947, in Longview.  She survives him.  Also 
surviving are a daughter, Linda Loftness; two sons, Steve Rohwedder and Mark 
Rohwedder;  his mother, Erma Meidlinger; two sisters, Ola Johnson and Betty 
Nelson; two brothers, Roy Rohwedder and Alex Rohwedder; and 10 grandchildren.
