Stepp steppmom5@hotmail.com April 3, 2006, 12:08 am The Daily News, Longview, WA 3/24/2006 Agatha Oberene (Terhune) Roulette, 73, of 1614 33rd Ave., Longview, died March 24, 2006, at Community Home Health and Hospice in Longview. Born on May 15, 1932, in Longview, to Edna Bessey and James P. Terhune, she was a life long resident of Cowlitz County residing at different times in Longview, Kelso, and Carrolls. She attended local schools and graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1951. She married Bill R. Roulette, Sr., that same year and was married 47 years before he died in 1998. She had various jobs in the area and retired from Longview Fiber in 1987. Oberene was active in the Baptist Church, a talented wordsmith, and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed travel, reading, bible study, gardening, bird watching, things that exercised her mind, flowers, and above all, conversation and having family and friends around her. She is survived by daughter Sandra L. Roulette, of Anchorage, Alaska, sons Bill R. Roulette of Portland, OR, and Scott A. Roulette, of Longview, sisters Lillian Sharp, of Moses Lake, WA, Gwendolyn Kramer, of Woodland, WA, Rosella Roulette, of Longview, and Verna Gebhart of Missouri City, TX, brother Robert L. Terhune of Florida, five grandchildren, one great- granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A daughter, Patricia A. (Brown) Roulette, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Steele Funeral Chapel at 5050 Mt. Solo Road. Pastor Darrin House of the Longview Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Steele Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Longview Bible Baptist Church Building Fund or Community Home Health and Hospice.
