 Carol Joyce Rowlands, 77, of Kelso died June 2, 2006. 

She was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Houston to Charles and Faye Adele (Ross) Gamble. 

Mrs. Rowlands was a truck driver, a city bus driver, a school bus driver and a 
waitress. She moved to the local area 28 years ago. 

Her husband, Gillette Rowlands, preceded her in death in 1989. 

She is survived by three daughters, Susan Wilson, Patricia Gidney and Debra 
Hardal; two sons, William Gidney and Roger Gidney; 15 grandchildren; and six 
great-grandchildren. 

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Northwest 
Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens & Crematory.
