Billie Joan Sauters, 77, of Longview, died June 21, 2006. 

She was born June 10, 1929, in Newberg, Ore., to William H. and Verna (Range) 
Haverman. 

She had lived in Longview for 70 years, graduating from R.A. Long High School 
in 1947 and attending Lower Columbia College. 

Mrs. Sauters was a homemaker and also worked several years at Super Value and 
Juanita's Knit Shop. 

She and Richard B. "Dick" Sauters were married Sept. 4, 1948, in Longview. He 
survives her. Also surviving are a son, Bill Sauters; two daughters, Susan 
Rhodes and Patti Peterson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 
several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Steele Chapel at 
Longview Memorial Park.
