Ethel E. Schneider, 82, of Kalama, WA, passed away March 4, 2006 at her 
daughter's home in Cornelius, OR. 

Ethel was born in Desdemona, Texas on September 17, 1923 to James and Viola 
(Sparks) Baskett. She married Alex Schneider on April 2, 1943 in Edmonton, 
Alberta, Canada. Ethel spent 42 years in the local area as a homemaker, Avon 
representative, and seamstress. 

Ethel is survived by her sons, James Schneider of Long Beach, WA, Robert 
Schneider of Kelso, and Bryan Schneider of Kalama; daughter, Laurie King of 
Cornelius, OR; sister, Gladys Williams of Dallas, TX; brothers, Ed Baskett of 
Auburn, WA, Kennard Baskett and James Baskett both of Hadlock, WA and numerous 
nieces and nephews. Ethel also had 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Schneider and daughter, Evelyn 
Paulsen. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Columbia 
Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
