Doris Faye Schoonover, 76, of Longview died March 27, 2006. 

She was born May 29, 1929, in Silverton, Texas, to Glenn and Ada (Mandenhall) 
Turner and attended schools in New Mexico. 

Mrs. Schoonover was a homemaker. She moved to the local area from Silverton 52 
years ago. 

She married Earl Robert Schoonover on Feb. 19, 1955, in Kelso. He survives her. 
Also surviving are a daughter, Norma Turvey; a daughter-in-law and caregiver, 
Linda Schoonover; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-
great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Northwest Funeral 
Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens & Crematory. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. 
Box 363, Mount Morris, IL 61054-0363 or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 
Foundation, Oregon and Southwest Washington Affiliation, 1130 S.W. Morrison,
