Russell was born Sept 17, 1919 to Walter and Ethel Schroeder in Bellwood, WI 
and died Jan. 4, 2006. 

Russ is survived by sons Bruce Schroeder of Silverlake, Dennis Schroeder of 
Longview and daughter and son-in-law Barbara and David Aye of Castle Rock, 
grandchildren Jaima Tidwell, Darby Gregson, Stacie Aye and John Aye & brother 
DL Schroeder of Castle Rock. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, 
Barbara and grandson Deven Schroeder. 

Russ served in the army in 1943 in 687th Engineer Company. He was part owner in 
L&S Lumber Co. in Castle Rock. He joined the pipefitters union in 1954 and was 
a member for 50+ years. He was also a member of VFW & American Legion. Russ 
enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and working around his home. 

There will be no service. Memorial contributions may be made to Community 
Health and Hospice, PO Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632
