Florence Gladys Schulz, 77, of Longview, Washington died February 8, 2006 in 
Longview. 

She was born April 4, 1927 in Ashley, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and 
Christine (Gruneich) Ladner. She moved from Fargo, North Dakota to Longview in 
1956, and graduated from Oakes High School, Oakes, North Dakota. August 4, 
1947, she married Fredrick M. Schulz in Fargo. 

Florence was a loving mother and homemaker. In her younger years, she enjoyed 
bowling, golfing, camping and fishing with her family. In later years, she 
enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Arizona, Reno, and Hawaii. Florence was outgoing 
and friendly, and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family. She loved all 
her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. 

In addition to her husband, Florence was preceded in death by daughter, Debra 
Schulz; four brothers, Arthur, Rudolph, Otto, and Erwin; and two sisters, Edna 
and Lorrine. 

Survivors include daughter, Pam Schulz of Longview; three sons and daughters-in-
law, Ron and Gretchen Schulz, Steve and Brenda Schulz, and Jeff and Pam Schulz, 
all of Longview; sister Ann Bearfield of Valley City, North Dakota; 
grandchildren, Michelle Riley, Mike Schulz, Kristy Schulz, Alesha Schulz, Ryan 
Schulz, Megan Schulz, all of Longview; great grandchildren, Zach Riley and Joy 
Riley, both of Longview. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at 
Columbia Funeral Chapel with the Chaplain Terry Myklebust officiating.
