Lucille Phoebe Sears, 88, of Kelso, Washington, died March 19, 2006 at home. 
She was born July 18, 1917 in Grassy Butte, North Dakota to John and Martha Mae 
(Knott) Fittro. She attended school in North Dakota. She married Raymond Sears 
in 1933. 

She came to the local area in the 1940s from Nebraska. Mrs. Sears worked on the 
planer at Weyerhaeuser Saw Mill for over 25 years, retiring in 1970. She loved 
her family and enjoyed cooking for them on Sundays. She enjoyed gardening, 
canning and liked to go to the beach with her family. She is survived by sons, 
Raymond Sears of Kelso, Jerry and Barbara Sears of Kelso, Ron Sears of Kelso 
and Don and Diane Sears of Longview; daughter JoAnn Mason of Kelso and daughter 
Joyce and Terry Rismoen of Castle Rock; many grandchildren and great 
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Raymond Sears in 1980 and a son, Jim Sears in 1980. A Funeral Service 
will be held Friday, March 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Steele Chapel At Longview 
Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday 9 to 1 at Steele Chapel. Private 
Interment at Longview Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to 
Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632. 
Arrangements by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Crematory.
