He was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Choctaw, Okla., to Leonard and Emma (Names) See and attended R.A. Long High School. Mr. See served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He owned and operated a gravel truck in Naselle before co-owning a Richfield service station on State Route 4 in Naselle for 25 years. He worked for his brother-in- law, Joe Penttila's, logging operation in Alaska for several years, returning to Naselle. He retired from the Pacific County Road Department in the late 1980s. He married Rose Penttila on July 24, 1948 in Naselle. She survives him. Also surviving are three daughters, Jenelle Varila, Adele See and Silke Dehn; two sons, Darrel See and Alan See; a brother, Larry Wilson; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Naselle Lutheran Church. A graveside service will follow at Peaceful Hill Cemetery in Naselle. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Penttila's Chapel by the Sea in Long Beach and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
