Woodrow Edward Smith, 92, of Park Rapids, Minn., died May 10, 2006. 

He was born Oct. 8, 1913, in Osage, Minn., to Edward and Mae (Colgrove) Smith 
and attended high school in Park Rapids. 

Mr. Smith worked in the harvest fields of North Dakota and southern Minnesota, 
and owned and operated a dairy farm near Osage, Minn. In 1952, he rented out 
the farm and moved to Kelso where he worked for the Longview Fibre Co. for 25 
years. He retired in 1977 and returned to his Park Rapids farm. 

He married May Katherine Truhn on Sept. 27, 1932, in Park Rapids. She preceded 
him in death in 1991. 

Survivors include five sons, Darrell Smith, Delbert Smith, Darwin Smith, 
Douglas Smith and Dwight Smith; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. 

A service was held May 15 in Park Rapids. 

Arrangements were by Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids.
