James Edwin Sutton, 82, of Longview, died May 23, 2006. 

He was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Oak Falls, Kan., and graduated from Norway Kansas 
High School in 1940. 

Mr. Sutton served four years in the Navy before joining the Marine Corps. He 
served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was 
honorably discharged after 24 years of military service in 1964. 

His wife of 38 years, Helen Sutton, preceded him in death April 29. 

He is survived by five stepchildren, Randall Parker, Kenneth Parker, Charlotte 
Kelsey, Harold Holten and Herb Holten; a sister, Ruth Logsdon; a niece; 11 
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Dahl-McVicker Funeral 
Home.
