He was born June 12, 1939 in Mulino, OR to Wren P. and Olivia V. Wade (Baxter). Loren was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1960. On March 31, 1962, he married Carolyn D. Noblitt in Longview, WA. He received a college degree from LCC and became a computer programmer at Weyerhaeuser. They moved to Vancouver in 1972, where Loren owned and operated Wade's Auto Wrecking until his retirement in 2001. He was a well-known automotive enthusiast and expert, becoming an award-winning Nascar driver (1993-2001). A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Loren is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Michael; daughter, Lori; grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan, Colton, Jennifer, Cara and Bret; brothers, Ronald, Milton, Bryan, Robert, Gary and Rodney and mother-in-law Gladys Noblitt. Viewing will be on Friday from 9am to 9pm at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, 1101 NE 112th Ave, Vancouver, WA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A reception will follow at 4 p.m. at The Firstenburg Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loren's name to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.
