She was born in Raymond, Washington on May 3, 1919 to Joseph and Anna Berbells. She completed her education in Raymond, Washington. She married William "Bill" McCulley in Raymond in 1936. She moved from Toledo to the Castle Rock area in 1946. Other than being a loving mother and homemaker, she worked at the Vancouver ship yards during WWII. After her husband's death, she later met and married Richards Watkins in Kelso in 1983, he also preceded her in death. Over the years, her memberships included the Castle Rock Senior Center and the Castle Rock Christian Church. Some of her pastimes included oil paintings, ceramics, gardening and collecting ceramic dolls. She loved her cats and family picnics. She also had a great number of friends and a wonderful sense of humor. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Berbells and daughter-in- law, Tonni McCulley (wife of Pat McCulley). Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Nancy McCulley of Kelso, son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Nora McCulley of Cathlamet, son and daughter- in-law, Wayne and Norma Lovingfoss of Kelso, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy McCulley of Beaverton, OR, sons, Dave Miller of Raymond and Pat McCulley of La Center, WA, brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Genie Berbells of Raymond, and sister-in-law Juanita Berbells of Raymond. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be at Columbia Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Steve White officiating. Private internment will take place in Raymond, Washington.
