He was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Red Cloud, Neb., to Robert and Ruth (Gould) White. He graduated from R.A. Long High School and earned a BA in business and education from Western Washington State College. Mr. White taught with the Kelso School District, was director for the YMCA, mayor of Harrah, Wash., personnel director for Billings Deaconess Hospital in Billings, Mont., and water specialist for the Department of Ecology in Seattle. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Donna M. White; two sons, Jeffrey White and Michael White; two stepdaughters, Betsey Fenton and Tracy Shalit; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose Valley Cemetery.
