Robert Raymond Williams, 79, of Chinook died June 6, 2006. 

He was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Chinook to David and Hilda (Erlandson) Williams 
and attended Ilwaco High School. 

Mr. Williams served in the Navy during World War II stationed in Guam. He was a 
truck driver for Chinook Packing, Shell Oil and retired from Tetz Oil, the 
local Union 76 dealer, in 1991. 

He married Rose Marie Deccio on Dec. 7, 1948, in Chinook. She preceded him in 
death in 1991. 

Survivors include two sons, David Williams and Ron Williams; a brother, Ervin 
Williams; a sister, Eileen Nyberg; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Lutheran 
Church of Chinook. A reception will follow at the church. Private committal 
will take place at Ilwaco Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Chinook School or the 
Ilwaco Cemetery Columbarium Building Fund, care of Penttila's Chapel by the 
Sea, P.O. Box 417, Long Beach, WA 98631.
