Jesse Carl Wood, 85, of Kelso died May 19, 2006. 

He was born May 9, 1921, in Grove, Okla., to Roy and Sarah (Gilbert) Wood. 

He lived in the local area for more than 50 years and worked as a machine 
operator for Weyerhaeuser. 

He is survived by his wife, Lawella; a stepson, Kerry Wise; four stepdaughters, 
Twila Hoffman, Cherry Good, Jerri Hershburger and Terry Tolson; and a sister, 
Evelyn Fields. 

Wood also had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah Wood. 

There is a viewing scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday and 10 a.m. to 12:30 
p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steele 
Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be 
made to Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O.Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.
