Douglas County Press [Waterville, WA] April 12, 1917
A large crowd assembled at the Nifty theater for the purpose of forming a Red 
Cross society in Waterville.  Owing to the fact that the necessary blanks had 
not arrived it was impossible to form a permanent orgainzation [sic],  but a 
temporary one was formed which will in time be made permanant.

Officers elected were:
