OBITUARY

L. E. Bishop, formerly of Waterville, died of a paralytic stroke on Feb 24 at 
his home in White Bluffs, Wash.

Louis ELmer Bishop was born October 4, 1850 in South Amherst, Massachusetts.  
In 1876 he went to Minnesota where he was associated with the late Uriah Jordan 
in contracting and building and in other business.  In 1888 he came to 
Waterville working at his trade - again being associated with Mr. Jordan, who 
came the following year.  He took up a claim in the Foster Creek country, later 
owning and running a sawmill on Badger mountain.  He also farmed a half section 
of land in the Farmer country.  About 10 years ago he bought a fine orchard at 
White Bluffs and moved there with his family.

He is survived by his widow and two children, a daughter, Mrs. George 
Harrington and a son Arthur.
