The Thompson/Schrock Cemetery is about 10 miles northwest of Almira (Lincoln County) and just inside Grant County. It was established in 19 April 1899 in what was then Douglas County, becoming part of Grant County in 1909 when it was formed. It lies in the southeast corner of Section 28 T27N R30E. Following Hanson Station Road west, continue into Grant County on 44NE, turning north on Road U. Proceed 5 miles where the cemetery lies to the west. It is small, unfenced and untended, but easily accessible from the road. The cemetery's name, either of them, comes from the names of the farmers working the adjoining land at the time of its formation.
