Blakeslee September 30, 1894 (Date of Death) Age 68 yrs. (*) Purvie E. Breedlove Aug 24, 1891 - April 12, 1894 "Dau. of W.T. & S.E. Breedlove" Back of the headstone says "The same hand from whence it was given has taken back our babe to heaven" Headstone had a lamb on top, the head has been broken off. (**) George Cowling December 2, 1875- November 8, 1896 Bottom of stone says "Gone but not forgotten" This is a pillar type headstone about 3 to 4 feet tall. It has tumbled over off of its base and lays on the ground at the time of this report(***) Goss Family This is in a family plot that is surrounded in concrete with concrete posts on each corner and several on the sides - appears that is was a very expensive plot at one time. Gate was still present, however it is laying to the side. The family plot has a large center stone that says Goss Family. Abe Goss (Abel) Born November 19,1839 - Died October 13,1917 (Headstone has Masonic symbol on it) Sarah Maria Goss Born March 8, 1847-Died November 27, 1908 Headstone reads "Wife of Abel" (*** in addition an article was written in the Vidette in 1972, confirming the information above.) Manesa G. Lockett September 24, 1853 - September 21, 1899(*) Douglas B. Luark Nov 21, 1951 - Jan 1, 1990 (** Ashes were placed here) Russell L. Luark 1897-1899(***) Justin R. Luark 1867-1947 Combined stone with Ida Lou(***) Ida Lou Luark 1878-1909(***) Russell J. Luark 1923-1938(**) Erwin S. Luark 1899-1969 On top says "Father" (Marbel Stone)(**) A.H. Maxwell 1900-1917 Combined stone with A.H. Marbel Stone (***) Harry Maxwell 1884-1903 T.J. Maxwell 1890-1924 (**) Jesse P. Nelson Born 1862-Died 1918 Has doves on the front of the stone, topped with a log. Headstone reads "Woodsman of the world"(**)(Obit tells that the P. stands for Preston and his full birthdate is March 30,1862 born in Cascade Locks, Oregon Territory) Headstones of Redmans, as they appear from Right to Left Eliza E. Redman March 19, 1857 - December 26th, 1935 Top of Headstone Reads "Mother" (**) Joseph T. Redman November 21, 1848 - June 18th, 1935 Top of Headstone Reads "Father" (**) Main Large Headstone that says Redman. Concrete Pilar 2 feet tall.(**) Reuben Redman February 20, 1820 - April 18, 1917(**) To the left of Reuben is a very small headstone that reads: J.T.R.(**) Next to JTR is: Clarence Redman "Died May 22, 1898 Aged 11ys. 3mo. 19ds. Nip'd in the opening bloom of youth with scarce a warning given: Summonds early from this earth to grace with smiles the xxxx of heaven." (**) Dorothy Rowe June 8th, 1911 - October 10, 1917 Headstone reads "Dorothy dau. of W.J. & C. Rowe" Clifford G Wilkins 1908-1926 (**) Robert Wilkins October 4, 1845 - July 12, 1915 Headstone says"Born in Indianapolis Indiana" Top of headstone has the words Father.(**) There are two Family Plots have either had the bodies exhumed or the headstones have sunk. They are large size family plots with concrete lining the plot. They are unlike the Goss family plot in the sence that they have wood corners instead of concrete. City Hall Records show the following bodies removed from Melbourne: John A. Pennick Moved on 8-31-1950 Elizabeth Oswald moved on 6-23-1925 James Gibson Moved on 6-23-1925 Jesse Francis Moved on X/X/ 1945 An additional obituary shows that a Sarah Wilkins Cross was buried next to her husband at Melbourne Cemetery, however a stone has not been found for her. Her dates would be as follows: June 17, 1848 - May 3, 1943
