Gelden, 79, a resident of Hoquiam for 37 years and active in local Masonic circles, died Tuesday at Sacramento, Calif., where he had gone two weeks ago to visit his daughter, Mrs. Willie O. Phillips. The body is being returned to Hoquiam. Services will be held at 3 p. m. at the Pinnick-Coleman chapel by Hoquiam lodge No. 64, F. & A.M. of which he was a member. Lodge members will meet at 2 o'clock in the Masonic temple. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial park. Survivors include, besides his daughter in Sacramento, two grandchildren, Mrs. Genebieve Cambra, Sacramento, and Mrs. Caroline Miller, Tacoma, and one great grandson in Tacoma.
