The crowd overflowed the chapel. There was a wealth of beautiful floral offerings. The Aberdeen Elks lodge conducted its ritual and Rev. Sylvester P. Robertson assisted, giving a brief eulogy of Mr. Stalding. The Cosmopolis quartet sang "Lead Kindly Light and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere accompanied by on the chapel pipe organ by Mrs. Lloyd Flower. Pallbearers, all old friends of Mr. Stalding, were Captain R.E. Peaskey, William T. Ingram, William H. Tamblyn, J.W. Clark, George S. Dean and J.M. Bowes. A police motorcycle escort accompanied the funeral procession to Fern Hill cemetery, where interment took place. Additional Comments: George was born on 5 Apr 1868 in Ridgeway, IA, and died on 16 Dec 1932 in Aberdeen, WA. He was survived by his wife Lois Bessie(Way) Stalding and a daughter Grace A. Stalding.
