I live relatively close to the cemetery and can take pictures for others who aren't in the area. I already have pictures of several graves that were unique or in bad repair. The grounds were littered with old temporary funeral home markers that were missing the paper inserts. Generally, the cemetery doesn't appear to be maintained regularly, other than perhaps being mowed occasionally. Several gravesites are overgrown and some graves may be completely obscured by overgrowth. There are a few graves marked with wooden headstones, only one of which is completely readable. Harriet Fish comments on the cemetery in her book "What's Down That Road?" copyright 1979 and 2nd edition printed in 1985, Olympic Printers, Port Angeles, Washington. She lists some history on a few of the interred and mentions the interesting Camperdown Elm tree, located in the Fratz plot, imported from England, a "mutant" tree in vogue 100 or so years ago. She says there are several Indians and Chinese buried with no records kept whatsoever. There is the interesting grave of Kuta, died January 18, 1915, Gone but not forgotten - no other details - and Chas Khars in the nearby Maynard plot, also with only the death date, December 9, 1910, with the same Gone but not forgotten inscription. The cemetery is located at coordinates N 48ø 00.014', W 122ø 52.648'. It is off Old Gardiner Road between US Highway 101 mile posts 281 and 282, just outside of Discovery Bay on the north side of the highway. Disc Bay Cemetery Road is just a couple hundred feet down Old Gardiner Road. It is a very small and lightly used road. Once on Cemetery Road, there is a private driveway immediately on the left, then another to the right. At the second driveway there is a sign indicating the direction of the proper Cemetery Road.
