They were Oliver Edward, aged 9 years; Francis Johnson, aged 9 year; George Johnson, aged 11 years, children of Edward Oliver, who was stepfather of the Johnson boy and girl. The children were skating over the lake when the ice gave way and all were engulfed in the water, which was only about seven feet deep at that place, yet they perished almost instantly. The bodeis were recovered in half an hour after the sad accident, by C.V.Andferson and Mr.Oliver, and conveyed to the home nearby. A strange coincidence is the fact that, Unreadable, father of the two last named children, was drowned exxactly two years ago near Port Ludlow and Whidby Island. Mr. Anderson came to this city this evening on the steamer Edith and ordered three caskets from undertakers, returning on the steamer at 10:30 p.m., to Port Ludlow. the funeral of the three children will be held from the family residence Friday afternoon.
