Hiroko was born in Tokyo, Japan, where she met and married her husband, U.S.
Army Staff Sgt. Takashi Akiyama.   They were married 64 years at the time of her
death.

She is survived by her husband Takashi; siblings Yoshirou, Mitsue and Masae of
Tokyo; daughters Louise (David) Wright and Nancy (George) Fujimoto;
daughter-in-law Maralyn Akiyama.

She was preceded in death by her son Jesse Skiyama; and in Tokyo sisters Kazuko
and Shigeko, and brother Yutaka.
