Duncan was born September 27, 1939 in Northampton, MA to Rev. Stephen Fielding
Bayne Jr. and Lucie Gould Bayne.

He served two years in the US Navy after High School.

Duncan is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary (McCuskey); daughters Martha,
Emily Antezana (Marcos) and Charlotte; his brothers Stephen III, Philip and Bruce.

His sister Lydia preceded him in death.
