Elizabeth was born April 1, 1924 to John Alliaude and Clara Bartlett Smith.

She married Lyman Hoge Black Jr in 1944.  He was in the service and they planned
their wedding in ten days, to take advantage of an unexpected leave he had.   He
served in the submarine service.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Lyman.   She is
survived by her daughters Marnie Black, Susan Black and Lynn (John) Cooper.
