Bruce was born in Miles City, Montana on December 25, 1933.

He joined the US Navy after high school and served on the USS Missouri.

He is survived by his beloved wife Debora of 58 years, and his children Kelly
Brower and David Broadus.   He was preceded in death by his youngest son Matthew
(2003).
