Elliott was born March 3, 1932 in Georgetown, Texas to Elliott Eric and 
Eleanor George (Halton) Brogren.

In the 1950s he served four years in the US Air Force teaching in the 
Helicopter Ground School for Air Force pilots at Gary AFC, San Marcos, 
Texas.

In 1954 he married Nell Marie Peterson.

Elliott is survived by his wife Nell, and children Gail Marie Riffle and 
Steven Elliott Brogren.
