Richard was born on February 5, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Richard F. Crew and 
Naomi McNeal Crew.

He was married to Carole Hueftle on May 23, 1971 and had two children: 
Christopher (Emily Wang) and Kelsey, engaged to Eric Adler.

After graduation from college in 1966 he joined the US Army, attending Officer 
Candidate School.   He served in Korea as the Officer in Charge of Armed Forces 
Korea Network (television and radio) and covered the capture of the USS Pueblo 
by North Korea in 1968.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his sister Sandra Jean 
Lenneman, and his brothers Bruce, Wayne and Chuck Crew.
