John was born February 20, 1914 in Seattle to David Lyle and Georgina 
MacDougall Davis.

John had been married to Ruth VanArsdale Davis for 70 years when she died in 
2009.

He was the "Davis" in the Davis Wright Tremaine law firm.

He is survived by children Jean Davis Burpee (Jon), John M. Davis Jr. 
(Barbara), Bruce Davis (Mary), Ann Davis Palmason (Jon), Margaret Davis 
Philbrick (Rob) and Betsy Davis.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers David T. and Donald C Davis.
