Harris was 95 years old when he died.

Harris was working at Dutch Harbor, Alaska when it was bombed by the 
Japanese in 1942.   At that time he joined the US Army and served for 30 
years before retiring, seeing action in WW II, Korea and Vietnam.   He 
earned many medals including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Air Medal, and 
battle stars for the fields in which he served.

He married June Bubier and they had been married 64 years at the time of his 
death.

He is survived by his wife June, son Harris "Chip" Emmons III (Deanne Ederer 
Moschner), and daughter Leslie Emmons Moschner (Larry Edward)Moschner.
