Richard was born March 13, 1937 in Clovis, CA to Irwin and Clara Engebrecht.

On August 17, 1954 he married Gail Freeman.   She died in November 2004.

He then married Joan Pease and they were married 6 years at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Gail, and sister Louise.

He is survived by wife Joan, children Robyn, Jeanie, JoAnne, and Richard Jr.
