Brian was born in Tacoma, WA on April 7, 1934 to Halver Gardner and Lucile
O'Brien Gardner Hoover.

He met his wife Eleanor Lee Yeakley of Staunton, Virginia while attending the
Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, VA.

He is survived by his wife Lee, daughter Cynthia Hendrickson (Steve), Debbie
Gardner, and Brian Gardner Jr. (Rana); sister-in-law Mildren Angelini.
