John was born November 2, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dr. Daniel and Anna
Glomset, immigrants from Norway.

He married Britt while he was studying in Norway.

He worked at the University of Washington Medical School as a professor.

John is survived by his wife Britt, sons Peter and Nils.
