Martin was born in Salt Lake City, Utah January 20, 1925.

In 1948 he married Alice Douglas and they were married 46 years until her death
in 1994.    In 2000 he married Caroline Sargent.

He is survived by his wife Caroline; children Doug (Polly), Tim (Marya), and Dae
(Ron) Eckerman.
