Mary was born in Seattle November 3, 1923 to Stella McCartin and Ira Swisher.

She married Toryald Andersen.  He died in a plane crash.

She then married Ray Guernsey, who died in 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters Gertrude and Clife Edith Louis.
